Entrance examinations are conducted on the basis of the model programs developed by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The entrants take the following tests:

Mathematics (oral test) Russian language and literature (written test)

Diploma of a winner of the regional math contest may be credited as a passed math test. Entrants who did not show up for the exam due to a reasonable excuse, properly documented, are allowed to take an exam with another group or individually by special permission within the time frame set for entrance examinations. CONSIDERATION OF AN APPEAL The entrant is entitled to appeal the results of the entrance examinations. An appeal is well - reasoned written statement of the entrant about violation of the entrance examinations procedure, which resulted in lower than deserved grade or inaccuracy of the grade itself. In the course of the consideration of the appeal only the accuracy of the given grade is checked. The appeal is not considered to be re-examination. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Application form. Reference from the last place of employment or study (for the preparation of documents enabling them to serve on board vessels operating abroad). Certificate of secondary general or professional education. Autobiography. Excerpt the service record-book, certified by the company (for those with the history of employment). Medical certificate for higher educational institutions entrants (form 086У) and in conformity with the Law of the Russian Federation “On sanitary-hygienic well-being of the population” (article 24 paragraph 5), form 63 or vaccination certificate with the exact dates of the following vaccinations: TB, polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles and tetanus. Certificate or a passport should contain a stamp identifying the blood group. (Persons who failed to submit the above medical certificates may undergo vaccination during the period of entrance examinations). Certificates from TB prophylactic center, psychoneurologic dispensary and narcological dispensary (Directive of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation as of 14.12.95 г.), chest X-ray data (valid for the period of last 3 months). For those going to sea after graduation – X-ray of para nasal sinuses and audiometry data. Six photos 3 by 4. Passport and documents related to past or future military service (these documents are submitted personally by the entrant upon arrival to the Academy).

Documents are accepted from June 20 till July 15. During medical examination and entrance examinations entrants may stay in the dormitory (separate fee is charged). Entrance examinations are conducted from July 16 till July 26. Enrollment will be completed by August 1. Those enrolled who are entitled to budget financing will be put down for all allowances from September 1.
