The main objectives of the Maritime Consulting Center :
Implementation of the achievements of the scientific and technical progress in marine fleet and in the area of the continental shelf exploration;
Monitoring and analysis of problems, providing assistance in the solution of economical, technical and environmental issues in maritime industry;
Rendering assistance in developing maritime security systems of different levels, professional and specialized training of maritime specialists;
Improving methods of organization and management on maritime transport, including companies operating on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation.
Main areas of activities of the Maritime Consulting Center:
Rendering assistance in development and introduction of the new equipment and technology, including those related to oil spill liquidation and environmental safety;
Improving methods of organization and management on maritime transport and operations on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation;
Consultations on the safety of navigation, protection of human life at sea, environmental protection as well as organization of maritime safety on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation;
Complex analysis and expert appraisal of the efficiency of the transport and technological projects;
Analysis of the legal acts related to construction of the fields, drilling, oil and gas production on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation as well as storage and transportation of hydrocarbon stock;
Preparation of documents, information and legal support in the course of contract preparation, promotion of the promising scientific and technical developments;
Rendering services in the follow up of the projects in the sphere of maritime transport, marine engineering and submarine technical work on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation;
Organization of VTS and communication systems in the areas of seabed oil and gas mining;
Organization of the security and protection systems of sea drilling facilities, output, storage and transportation of oil and gas taking into account national and international requirements in accordance with ISM и ISPS-code;
Analysis, efficiency evaluation, informational, legal and techno-economic expert examination of projects, agreements and contracts;
Monitoring of legal acts of the marine fleet;
Organization and assistance in conducting scientific and technical seminars, specialized training courses, exhibitions and conferences;
Publication of new legal, informational, scientific and technical materials related to the maritime industry.

Forecasting and modeling of potential of problem issues occurrence on maritime transport and during organization of work on the continental shelf;

Determination of scientific and technical justification for the solution of problems in the maritime industry related to the activities, developing methodology for the organization and implementation of these solutions;
Consulting services, R&D, preparation of recommendations and regulations for the solution of problem issues;
Cooperation with companies on the issues of practical implementation of preventive measures to minimize production risks;
Organization specialized training of the personnel of the industry companies and companies working on the continental shelf;
